Weekend in.... Reichenau

This Weekend I had the chance to participate in a seminar in Rothschild Castle, Reichenau/Rax.
I felt like a princes in a magic castle!
While we were supposed to paint either something for the theme "First World War" or "Sissi", I could not resist painting this lovely castle.
We were asked to donate one of our paintings for auction towards a good cause. I am proud that my painting was the first to be snatched up for the higher free sale price before it even got to auction!

Big things and small things

No matter how huge something seems,
it is important to look closer
and closer
and even closer:

Sunday in ..... Vienna

Today I finally managed, what I wanted to do for a number of weeks, but could not get myself to actually do: Take my camera and go for a walk.
A walk around Ringstraße on a Sunday morning, noticing traces,
of spring ending,
events leaving their traces on the face of the city,
be it hotels or the house of parliament.
Actual traces being removed,
traces, which still have to be removed,
but also traces of summerplanting replacing long spent tulips.
Sunday in the city....
