Once I read this weeks theme, I immediately knew what would fit this theme perfectly. While I am not a fan of modern architecture, now and then when seeing something for the first time it takes my breath away:
Vienna, Underground station Schottenring, connection from line U4 to U2.
When I read this weeks theme I was kind of stumped! Even yesterday evening I complained to Gabi: How do I take a photo of my camera, my most important "help" for blogging! Today I suddenly realized: The most important thing is my computer or laptop! (Aperol optional)
The end of summer always turns out to be quite hectic and as I just spent a week in Grado with my painting group, I missed taking a photo for the last challenge. I did paint a market szene though, and this week a painting has to stand in for a photo (I count it as another joker):
More about this years successes and not so successfull paintings once I've managed to catch up with life again.
Last week was a week of gifts, one given and another received.
The gift given was for a friend at work who retired and when asked what colors he liked he replied: green, blue, orange. Well, what is a quilter to do but make a green, blue and orange log cabin quilt. I hope it will give as much pleasure as I got from the gift received.
Unexpectedly these lovely flowers arrived at my desk:
I had made some enquiries to help find a rehab place for the mother of a business partner and received these wonderfull flowers for that. I'm smiling all the time.
